Coach Horne is beginning his 13th season on the Golden Eagle sidelines.  He is a 1993 graduate of the College of William and Mary, a National Board certified teacher, and a graduate of Walden University’s   Educational Leadership Master’s Program.  He earned a football scholarship and was a two year starter for the Tribe during the early 90s.  He majored in History at the nation’s second oldest institution of higher learning.  He will teach AP Government, AP Human Geography, and American History this year.  His gorgeous, enthusiastic, loving, and extremely fit wife, Shannon, is the Golden Eagles’ loudest fan.  She has been the backbone of Teamhorne and manages our five fervent children.  They all love donning their blue and gold on Friday nights.  Colby (12), Kirby-Lynn (11), Darby (9), Abby (8), and Toby (6) look forward to traveling to Orlando in December!  Coach Horne has coached 1 Army All-American, 1 Florida North-South All-Star, 18 Collegiate Offensive Linemen, 6 All-State linemen, numerous All-District/All-Conference/All-County players.  He has honed his coaching style at the prestigious Penn State and University of Maryland football camps.  He has learned offensive philosophy from Jimmye Laycock, Tom Bratton, Bill Kenney, Steve Adazio, Chris Thatcher, and Fisher DeBerry among others.

Under the supervision of Coach Horne the Golden Eagle offense continued to be one of the leaders in the area for offensive production.  The offense combines a lethal running attack that has developed a reputation for pounding its opponents into submission.  The precision passing game continues to keep opponents off balance.  Coach Horne is especially thankful to Kathy Alajajian, Susan Jones, Susan Devoe, Jeannie Ogden, Fran McCombs, Lynn Salley and Amy Sackman for their support of Teamhorne during the past year!  Shannon and I thank you from the depth of our hearts and please understand God truly blessed us with you!
