JV Head Coach

Coach Swanson is in his seventh year on the Naples football staff. Mark is the Special Teams Coordinator for the Varsity and Head JV Coach. The Naples JV has compiled a 37-3 record over the last five years under Coach Swanson, while the Special Teams set a record for most points scored in 2007. Prior to his tenure at Naples High, Mark coached quarterbacks and was the offensive coordinator at Columbus High School in Miami for 12 years. During that time, Columbus had 66 Division I players and won 5 district titles. Mark moved to Naples in 1995 to be the head football coach at Lely High School. During his 5 years as the head coach for the Trojans, they shared two district titles and had 3 state playoff births. Mark and his wife Mary Ann have three children; Christine 23, a Naples high and Duquesne University Graduate with a masters in Forensic Science she is now employed by the US Army in their Crime lab, Jack 21, also a Naples High graduate, currently Red shirt sophomore defensive back at the University of Iowa, and Maggie 17, a junior at Naples High School.
